Manuel studied Architecture at ETSAC (Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de A Coruña in Spain), and at EAL (École d'Architeture de Lille). He is a registered architect in USA, Spain and UK, with more than 15 years of experience at Foster+Partners from 2004 to 2019, and Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM) from 2019 to 2020. As part of the leading team in the Madrid, New York, Philadelphia and Chicago offices, he has designed, coordinated and built a large number of projects in all phases. In 2021 he joined Roth Architecture as Head of Design, attracted by the creative and multidisciplinary environment with a deep focus on designing architectural spaces from the user experience, to understand the connection with nature and craft meaningful designs.

Roth Architecture was founded in 2017 as the creative team of the AZULIK brand: AZULIK is a multidisciplinary hotel and creative movement that promotes reconnection. Designed by Roth, founder and CEO, it is all about exploration and experimentation through the senses and with nature as its guide. Its purpose is to elevate human vision and evolution through broader initiatives in hospitality, wellness, food, art, fashion, architecture and design. AZULIK's initiatives promote an atmosphere of innovative and unpredictable possibilities that are guided by three pillars: nature, art and ancestry. Through their AZULIK Tulum hotel, and the rest of their gastronomic, wellness and artistic initiatives, they achieve a unique reinterpretation of the stay as an initiatory journey in which visitors become members of a global nomadic tribe of extraordinary sophistication.
